With 'Jana Gana Mann Rann' being replaced by 'Vande Mataram', the song controversy of RANN is pretty much out of the way. Now one eagerly looks forward to see Round Two of the promotion of RANN beginning soon. Meanwhile, since 'Jana Gana Mann Rann' is no more a part of the film, how much did it impact the film in totality? Wasn't there an added effort spent to replace it with 'Vande Mataram' at the last moment when the film is up for release next month?
"Not really because eventually 'Vande Mataram' is a part of the background score", says Ramu, "Since it wasn't a different song that was shot, it doesn't make a fundamental difference to the narrative."
'Vande Mataram' is not the only song which would be a part of the background score though. There are 6 other songs interspersed in the narrative and Ramu has taken the services of 4-5 other music directors.
CHECK OUT : It's Vande Mataram & not Jana Gana Mann in RANN
"But no, there is no item number in RANN", states Ramu, "Each of the songs is related to the theme of RANN and they would last for 30 seconds or at most 60 seconds in the film. There is no lip synch song either. The beauty of music of RANN is that it brings in a completely creative feel and an emotional tone to the narrative. However, the music album of RANN won't include 'Jana Gana Mann Rann'."
