Linda Arsenio. Does the name ring a bell? Well, she is the same pretty young girl who started her career with a Yash Raj film and followed it up with a Vikram Bhatt production. Still wondering? Ok, so she is the same girl who was seen as a journalist in KABUL EXPRESS and later as a corporate executive in MUMBAI SALSA.
In the past, it has happened with various imports from the West, when the girls appear in a film or two, only to disappear from the Bollywood arena. For Linda though, it has been an interesting journey since after two dramatic affairs, she would be seen in a romantic comedy. The film is ALOO CHAAT and her director this time around is Robby Grewal.
''And to think of it I have only seen Linda in KABUL EXPRESS though I am yet to catch up on MUMBAI SALSA'', says Robby Grewal while talking about his reason behind signing Linda for a key role in this comedy that features Aftab Shivdasani and Aamna Shariff as a lead couple, ''I found her great in KABUL EXPRESS. She is genuinely talented and to add to it very good looking as well. Since she hasn't done comedy before, it was only an added advantage. Now audience will see a different facet of her personality.
He isn't willing to talk much about her role in the film though. ''All I can say is that she is there for a reason in the film'', smiles Robby who has earlier made SAMAY and MP3 - MERA PEHLA PEHLA PYAAR, ''If I say anything more, it would give away the film's plot.''
On being prodded further he reveals, ''ALOO CHAAT is about this couple which is truly in love. Now how the guy devises a plan to bring his girl into the family and have her accepted wholeheartedly is what the film is about. It's a teekhi-meethi romantic comedy.''
