Big cinemas crosses 100 screens

BIG Cinemas announced the opening of its three-screen multiplex in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. With the launch of the Anjali BIG Cinemas in Aurangabad, BIG Cinemas has crossed the 100-screen mark in western India. Anjali BIG Cinemas is the 25th BIG Cinemas property in the state of Maharashtra and the 34th in the western region as a whole.

Tushar Dhingra, COO, BIG Cinemas commented, ''Maharashtra is a very important territory for BIG Cinemas thanks to its flourishing film industry and large percentage of the nationwide box office, due to which we have the largest number of screens in the state. Aurangabad, the ancient City of Gates, is a tourism destination and is one of the fastest growing towns in the region. The people have high expectations and we intend to more than fulfill them with the BIG Cinemas' international experience.''
