Always an iconoclast, Arbaaz Khan, despite being the brother of a highly successful actor like Salman Khan, and son of famous writer, Salim Khan, chose his first role, that of an over possessive husband to Juhi Chawla in Abbas-Mustan's racy thriller, DARAAR. And so convincingly and menacingly did he portray the role, the imperfect husband image has latched on to him and stayed with Arbaaz ever since. The recent examples of that were seen in superbly enacted hubby roles in BHAGAM BHAG, FASHION and DUS KAHANIYAAN.
For all those who feast on Arbaaz's image, we have yet another film that will showcase his forte. The Madhureeta Anand directed, Randeep Hooda-Raima Sen starrer, MERE KHWABON MEIN JO AAYE, has Arbaaz playing Raima's husband and needless to add, its once again a character that has shades of grey. He cheats on a loving wife, who has given up all after marriage. And going by the promos of the film, it appears that as always Arbaaz has excelled in the role of an imperfect husband.
Well, Arbaaz will surely be one of the driving forces that will help the film open decently when the PVR Pictures Presentation, MERE KHWABON MEIN JO AAYE, releases on 6th February.
