Mohit Suri: I am very bad with money
January 22, 2009 4:15:11 PM IST Joginder Tuteja, Bollywood Trade News Network
Mohit Suri believes that he has made a good movie in RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. However, the area where he is completely clueless is the one where money comes into picture. Ask him about the kind of opening that he is predicting for the movie and the collections that would make him happy and he simply shrugs it all away with a smile, ''I am not a business guy and I do not have any business solutions. Believe me, but I am very bad with money.''
Talking about his personal experience that has nothing to do with film making, he shares a secret, ''Believe me when I tell you that I don't even know how much I have in my bank. I leave this to my trusted people to figure it out for me.''
Getting serious, he says, ''I don't even know the deal between Bhatts and Sony. So who is going to profit how much is not something that I know of or would be interested in knowing. For me, film making is the only priority and that's something that I have done. Thankfully, Bhatts have allowed me to do whatever I wanted to with the movie. Still, we all made sure that we don't unnecessarily start spending all the money.''
Which means no restrictions, right?
Replies Mohit, ''As I said, you need to have a balanced approach. The producers certainly have a business model in mind and you have to adhere to that. No, I didn't have any restrictions per se but then I too kept a tight leash on things. After all, limitations only improve creativity.''
