It looked like a dismal first half of the year for Bollywood, but right at the fag end, a messiah in the form of Yash Raj's NEW YORK changed it all. Had it not been for NEW YORK, it would have been (perhaps!) the worst ever first six months for the Hindi film industry, with not even one universal hit to its credit. The very next Friday has seen Sajid Nadiadwala's KAMBAKKHT ISHQ taking the best opening of the year and looking all set to cross 25 crores during the weekend itself.
With Moser Baer's SANKAT CITY all set to release next Friday, one hopes that this winning streak will continue, and our wishes are not unfounded. We were recently told by the captain of the ship, Pankaj Advani that SANKAT CITY has a total of 21 actors, and 13 of them are amongst the best in the industry, who have all put in their inputs and suggestions during the making of the film.
Here's hoping for a Bollywood success hat trick with SANKAT CITY when it hits the theatres on July 10th.
