After ROCK ON and FIRAAQ, Shahana Goswami is back to earning accolades for yet another bravura performance in JASHNN. As Adhyayan's sister, Shahana had a challenging part to play, that of a mistress who is ready to be humiliated and insulted just for those extra bucks, and she managed to pass with flying colors.
"But honestly speaking, it was very difficult to come out of a scene", says Shahana when reminded of some of the many poignant portions of this Raksha Mistry and Hasnain Hyderabadwala directed film, "In any case, I am intrinsically nervous before every shot. Especially in case of JASHNN, there were so many difficult scenes and it was tough to get the right frame of mind both before and after the take."
"Because working on JASHNN was such a taxing experience, both emotionally and mentally", she explains, "It was something that I kept feeling throughout that I won't be able to do. I was just not prepared for a role like that. The climax especially was the most difficult to enact."
Such tiring was the entire experience of working on the film that instead of the usual celebration that comes with pack up, the cast of the film was generally seen making a sober and quite exit.
"It wasn't as if we became depressed or something but then we were just not in a frame of mind to have 'masti' and 'mazaa' either", Shahana remembers, "We just used to smile at each other, give a hug and head back for home. We couldn't have gone out for a party after finishing a scene in JASHNN."
