ONIR and MITHOON
The latest composer to jump on to the bandwagon is prodigious Mithoon, who has already proved himself by making the entire country go crazy with his chartbusting hits 'Tere Bin' from Onir's BAS EK PAL, 'Maula Mere Maula' (ANWAR) and 'Woh Lamhe' (ZEHER). If Onir's BAS EK PAL was the calling card of Mithoon who shot to limelight with 'Tere Bin', he is ready to recreate the magic once again with Onir as he volunteers to compose a song for his next film called AFIA.
AFIA is one of the five short films which are to be directed by Onir. It is the story of a girl who returns from her training in Switzerland and starts working in the NGO sector. She discovers hugs misappropriation of funds and to her horror discovers everyone around her right to the white boss in Switzerland is connected. A huge amount of money comes in every year from across the world into this sector. A large chunk of it however never reaches its said destination. This film talks about an area that not too many people are aware of but pretty common. This film asks for accountability.
The five short films which are to be directed by Onir, have the common theme of fear and have characters moving in and out of one short into another thus linking them in terms of content and structure.
The project is unique in itself as it has 400 co-owner from 25 cities over the globe and 45 volunteers as crew and actors. All the five movies will be shot at five different locations i.e. Mumbai, Banglore, Calcutta, Delhi and Kashmir
