A co-production of Deepak Tijori and Zee Motion Pictures, FOX was stuck for a while since there were certain organizational changes within Zee Motion Pictures.
''All of that is thankfully sorted out with change in guard that took place early this year. Sanjeev Lamba took over the reins when it came to completing FOX and has been instrumental in ensuring that the film makes good progress'', informs Tijori whose last directorial outing was a comedy TOM DICK AND HARRY (2006) which was a surprise success at the box office.
From comedy to an action movie, and that too with none other than Sunny Deol, how has the experience been?
''It's not an action movie but is basically a thriller'', corrects Tijori, ''Sunny will be seen in a different light altogether in FOX and so would Arjun be. Our film is a slick entertainer and comes with a new way of story telling. I am sure fans of both Sunny and Arjun would be happy to see them in a new 'avtar'.''
FOX is a modern sleek thriller shot in the exotic locales of Goa and Mumbai. It is a story about a cat and mouse chase between a young successful criminal lawyer (Arjun Rampal) and a mysterious stranger who is controlling and threatening his life. Now the lawyer must seek the help of a reluctant cop (Sunny Deol) in solving the mystery.
Happy with the cooperation shown by all his principal actors during the making of FOX which commenced it's principal shooting in May 2008, Tijori adds, ''The entire week gone by was an amazing experience since everyone came together to ensure that there were no more delays. Whether it was Sunny and Arjun or Udita Goswami and Sagarika Ghatge or newcomer Vipul Gupta - each of them was very cooperative.''
He is unable to comment on the final date though. ''It's difficult to do that right away because due to stand off between producers and multiplexes during last couple of months, so many other movies are already in the pipeline. Once they come and go, we should be able to get a clearer picture. But yes, one thing is for sure that we are certainly bringing FOX this year.''
