SOHA ALI KHAN & EMRAAN HASHMI
It's not just we who are ardently awaiting the skies to open up, to drench in the desirable deluge, apparently Emraan Hashmi's TUM MILE, romantic movie about a couple stuck in the 2005 Mumbai deluge is stuck for the same. Fortunately they are running late not because of date problems, but this time around the culprit is none other than the rain god himself.
Though director Kunal Deshmukh has almost completed the entire film in a specially designed set that recreates the flood scene of July 26, 2005, it seems the film is gearing up for its final copy. But for that, real rain shots form an integral part. While a couple of them would require both Emraan and Soha Ali Khan being trapped in rain, a few only need the Mumbai city in background.
Maybe not anticipating such a situation has caused an issue as they are sitting ready with the cast, crew and equipment. But then it's just a matter of a few days & they are willing to wait. TUM MILE was originally slated for release in June-July to coincide with the Mumbai floods anniversary. However, due to the producers' strike, the release timelines have now shifted to Sep 25. Hope the rains shrug off its long lethargy & knock down Mumbai soon...
