Next week sees the release of JAI VEERU. However, not many are aware that original plan for the film's release was about a year back. The film got pushed for a while and though the makers did the smart thing by releasing the promos only now when the plans were confirmed for release, they ended up ensuring that the movie doesn't come with a dated look. Also, it's to their credit that this movie produced by Bajaj brothers (Shyam and Narendra) looks fresh even today, courtesy the songs which are on air - 'Sufi' and 'Tainu Le Ke'.
Quiz Anjana Sukhani, the leading opposite Kunal Khemu, about the reason behind the late release of the film and she shrugs, ''Really, I don't know the reason behind why JAI VEERU didn't release earlier. There are four lead stars in the film (with Dia Mirza as the other heroine) and I guess they were not able to assemble the dates of different actors.''
Does she have any regrets around being associated with the project considering the fact that she may have pined her hopes on the film had it released earlier?
''Bajaj brothers are very respected people and they have been in the business for more than two decades. They have their own standing in the industry and I personally never had any issues with them'', says Anjana, ''They treated me very nicely and I have nothing negative to even think about them. They have the ability to make big films and give them an appropriate release. This is what they are doing now. If they were in hurry, they could have possibly rushed up the film but they chose not to do that.''
Turning philosophical, she concludes, ''Destiny plays its own game in matters like these. Something like this can happen to anyone. Sometimes you are ready to release your films as per the original plan but one controversy erupts and all your plans go haywire. I am happy that JAI VEERU is releasing now and am keeping my fingers crossed to see the results.''
