Linda Arsenio. Does the name ring a bell? Well, she is the same beautiful American girl who made an impressive debut with KABUL EXPRESS and followed it up with yet another good (but lesser know) act in MUMBAI SALSA. After working in films belonging to drama genre, she is now letting her hair loose with Robby Grewal directed ALOO CHAAT where she plays a girl whom Aftab Shivdasani brings home (read a Punjabi household) as his would-be bride.
''Frankly, I couldn't have asked for anything more in this third film of mine. Working in a setup that was hardcore Punjabi was a novel thing for me and I enjoyed every moment of the film's shoot'', says Linda gleefully, ''These people certainly know how to have good fun. Also they are intrinsically quite melodic people. It's some kind of a musical experience when you work in a lively environment like this.''
Her absolute fascination for Punjabis and their culture is revealed further as she adds, ''Punjabis are a bunch of spirited people. Moreover, the way they dance, the kind of costumes they wear, the style they possess, the sweetness they carry is all commendable. My entrance in this Punjabi household is also done very nicely. The character I play has been presented in a rather interesting manner. Moreover, there is a nice twist to the story that I bring, something that will have audience in splits.''
This is her third Bollywood film. Has she now been able to adjust to the ways of Bollywood?
Says Linda after a pause, ''Honestly, it's still a learning phase for me. But yes, it was nice to be able to get my experience of last few years in industry into ALOO CHAAT. There wasn't any apprehension of working with an Indian unit as I have been able to merge well with the city and its people.''
