For Vaishali Desai, it wasn't 'luck by chance' that resulted in her Bollywood entry. She was academically inclined but that didn't stop her from dreaming big about making it big in the tinsel world. She kept herself abreast with the world of glamour and it didn't take her much time before she found herself being launched alongside Jackky Bhagnani in Vivek Sharma directed musical thriller KAL KISSNE DEKHA.
''Even though I was attached to glamour, I didn't ignore my studies. I was interested in academics as well and did well there. However, even with my studies, I was related to the glamour industry in some way or the other. Later, I did theater and also one month course at Anupam Kher's academy. I did walk the ramp as well though honestly, all this while I wasn't looking at modeling as a stepping stone towards working as an actress in movies'', says Vaishali Desai who will be one of the first high profile newcomers to be making an appearance on the big screen this year.
Even as she was gearing up to begin her Bollywood sojourn, she kept her passion for dancing intact. She learnt Bharatnatyam and Kathak along with Jazz. ''Oh, I just love dancing regardless of whether it is Indian or Western'', she exclaims. No wonder, in KAL KISSNE DEKHA, she showcases her dancing abilities across both the streams.
Talking about her debut flick, she says, ''Frankly speaking, KAL KISSNE DEKHA was the idea of a perfect debut for me. I get to play a college going girl who is just my age. Moreover, there are multiple shades to this character. She is a little arrogant but also very romantic. She is emotional but also very strong. It's an amalgamation of all these shades which makes Meesha such a lovable character. I loved playing this character and do so many different things while wearing her shoes.''
