If promoted aggressively, 'Tennu Leke' could well have been a chartbuster number. Belonging to the film JAI VEERU, this Omar Inayat number is a hip-hop track picturised on Kunal Khemu and Anjana Sukhani.
''I heard the song when I was in Mumbai and was already shooting for JAI VEERU. Kunal (Khemu) made me hear the song and I instantly recognized the tune. I had heard it before on my sister's cell phone and the song just drove me crazy. This is when I got to know that the song's rights had been bought by the makers of JAI VEERU and I would be eventually dancing to its tune'', says Anjana Sukhani who featured in one of the biggest money spinners of 2008 - GOLMAAL RETURNS.
''It's a great song, quite catchy and stands out because of its hip-hop and loungy feel. The number has been rearranged for the film and we shot for it at some wonderful locations in Pattaya. It was a memorable experience shooting around the miniatures of 'Wonders of the World''', adds Anjana who is glad that JAI VEERU has made it to the big screen.
''JAI VEERU is a full-on masala film'', Anjana says, ''Yes, it's a two hero-two heroine film but so what? I don't know why some people complain that I primarily do multi starrers. Every actor wants to do good films so what's the big deal if that project happens to be a SALAAM E ISHQ or a GOLMAAL RETURNS? I guess it's an achievement in itself to be a part of set up like this. Yes, I am greedy and want to do all kind of roles, all kind of films. That time will also come. So when I am patient about it then why should others worry about it?''
