Anjana Sukhani's recent release JAI VEERU may have failed at the box office but she isn't shaken up. Determined to look ahead rather than cry over the failures from the past, Anjana is positive that rest of 2009 will see better things happening for her.
''Wasn't SALAAM E ISHQ such a huge project for me? I had pined great hopes on it but it didn't work. I had thought that the film after the release of the film, it would be an easy journey for me in Bollywood but that wasn't the case to me. I could have chosen to sit down and cried over its failure but I moved on. I accepted GOLMAAL RETURNS even though it had a small role for me to play in it. I knew what was on the cards but sometimes you have to keep doing things so that you don't let any negative energy around you. It only helps'', says Anjana in an emotional tone as she reflects over her journey so far.
''Irrespective of getting great reviews, sometimes you don't get the kind of roles that you want. SALAAM E ISHQ fetched me good reviews but in the months that followed, I chose the best amongst the kind of offers that came my way'', says Anjana.
She wasn't willing to compromise though by stepping into smaller films even if they offered her main lead roles.
''It's the game of patience yaar. One wrong move and you are gone'', Anjana brings a smile on her face, ''One thing that I am dead sure is that I will never do B or C grade films. My well wishers will never get a chance of saying that 'arrey kya kar diya is ladki ne'. Of course they would have opinions about everything and anything that I do but they will never be able to point fingers towards me and accuse me of a dirty act.''
