Nagesh Kukunoor's 8X10 TASVEER is Akshay Kumar's next release after the CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA fiasco. And the good news is that the film has shaped up very well. This confirmation comes from none other than the 'Khiladi' himself who, as per reliable trade sources, was thrilled after he saw the movie, while dubbing for it. Akshay has offered his full support to Percept Picture's head, Shailendra Singh and director Nagesh Kukunoor for the promotion of the film. In fact, he has gone out of his way in shooting for the promotional title track with US based rapper, Bohemia, and the plan seems to have worked as the video which features Akki and Nagesh is already creating quite a buzz.
Well, readers who have been following our news for a long time will remember our article (last year) where we had informed that Akshay was quite unhappy with the first shooting schedule of 8x10 TASVEER in Canada, which went haywire due to some technical (Visa) hiccups. And a very busy actor like Akshay had to cool his heels in the hotel and go sightseeing as a result of the glitch.
However, the professional Khiladi adjusted his dates and completed the film, which is due to release on 3rd April and is very happy with the final cut, as a whole. Fans of Akshay who know and believe that Akki is a fine actor (not just a comedian-dancer), will be in for a treat and with 8X10 TASVEER, here's hoping that Akshay Kumar would be able to break his strong action-comedy image, and there will be more and more serious and performance-oriented films from the superstar-turned-actor!
