Shemaroo bags Golden Cursor Awards' 2009

It has indeed been a proud moment for Shemaroo Entertainment, to see 2 Awards and 4 Nominations at the Golden Cursor Awards' 2009 (GCA).

Presented by Cell18 and Arena Animation, in association with Aptech and CNBC-TV 18 - The Golden Cursor Awards' (GCA) - took place on Friday, 08 May'09 at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai.

Shemaroo's direct-to-DVD edutainment film 'Rhyme Time in Toyland' bagged - Best Animated Edutainment Content.

Shemaroo was also bestowed the award for 'Best Mobile Game - Ghatothkach: Eat on Before Dawn'.

Apart from this, Shemaroo's animation film GHATOTHKACH - MASTER OF MAGIC was one, of the top two films nominated, in different categories:

Best Animated Feature - Ghatothkach
Best Title Sequence - Ghatothkach - Master of Magic
Best Lyrics - Ghatothkach - Master of Magic
Best Music - Ghatothkach - Master of Magic

Smita Maroo, VP, Animation, Shemaroo Entertainment expresses, ''Our character Ghatothkach has successfully connected with the audiences, as is evident by the multiple nominations across categories. This provided a great launch pad for making an interesting game. We are extremely happy to be recognized as one of the top 2 animation films of the year.''

Adds Jai Maroo, Director, Shemaroo Entertainment, ''Considering the fact that, it is not been too long, that we are present in the gaming space, this award for the Best Mobile Game, certainly is a recognition of our efforts. The game 'Ghatothkach: Eat on Before Dawn' is primarily meant for kids, with no killing, no bloodshed or violence and just fun.
