Getting audiences acquainted & fond of a certain name, then rising up from nowhere to alter it, could pose as a massive menace. That's exactly what is being transpired to the heavily publicized terrorism thriller JEHAAD. QURBAAN is rumoured to be the new name for the flick, while Karan and Rensil are planning to call a press conference to correct the media perception about the film's title. They did not wish to put off the western audiences by calling the film JEHAAD which is the Islamic term for Holy War.
Apparently the film stars Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who have attempted hard to push forward JEHAAD as the title, insisting on calling it the same in all their press interviews, when it was not even the official title. But producer Karan Johar and D'Silva are being cautious and have decided against naming the film JEHAAD. With the film already being looked at with some inquisitiveness and interest in the global market, the makers did not want to send out the wrong signals at Cannes film festival.
According to the latest reports, the film is taut and is devoid of songs, dances and melodrama. Though it will take some time for JEHAAD to get out of the public's minds, hoping that the new name ushers in greater global support.
