There is no doubt about the fact that the scripts of Akshay Kumar's last two films, Nikhil Advani's CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA and Nagesh Kukunoor's 8x10 TASVEER have let him down badly. In fact both the mentioned movies have stalled his record breaking, back to back success at the box-office, which had led the media to call him, Akki-The Hit Machine! But we are not here to discuss the beaten to death topic of Akshay choosing the wrong scripts.
CHECK OUT : Akshay Kumar considering Nikhil Advani's 1979
However, there is still one script, though of a different nature, that Akshay signed without reading. And the script was that of the Levis-Unbuttoned denim ad that is still troubling the Khiladi Kumar. It's really ironic that Akshay, after being conferred the prestigious Padma Shri, unwittingly became involved with the in-famous 'unbuttoning in public' case. Just a few days back, Akshay had to surrender and was granted bail. Once again it was the script that was written to promote the denim brand of Levis that led to Akki's downfall. Akshay, the professional that he is, went ahead with whatever he was asked to do on stage during the ramp show and had not read too much into the script. Akshay admits that he never had any idea that this act of his would offend the public so much and has vowed never to take part in a show without reading the script properly.
Well, Akshay, once bitten, twice shy! We are pretty sure that henceforth now you would never sign any film or do any show without reading the script!
