AKSHAY KUMAR, HRITHIK ROSHAN & AAMIR KHAN

AKSHAY KUMAR, HRITHIK ROSHAN & AAMIR KHAN

Last year the top four actors of Bollywood - Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar- had bailed the industry out of crisis with their films turning out to be blockbuster successes. Leading the pack was actor perfectionist Aamir Khan, with his All Time Blockbuster GHAJINI (113 crores). King Khan too was next with his All Time Blockbuster, Yash Raj's RAB NE BANA DI JODI (87 crores). Akshay Kumar, the then hit machine, chipped in with his superhit, SINGH IS KINNG (75 crores) and superhero, Hrithik Roshan too contributed with the big success of his Ashutosh Gowariker directed historical, JODHAA AKBAR (62 crores).

With the first five months of the present year almost over, there is not even a single hit, barring to an extent Emraan Hashmi's RAAZ-THE MYSTERY CONTINUES, which is in real terms, just a semi-hit. And with the multiplex issue still going on, things seem bleak for Bollywood. But the four letter word that the Indian film industry relies on is, hope, and its due to these top four ever dependable stars, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, who are expected to be its saviour once again and bail out Bollywood from its worst ever crisis.

Unfortunately for Bollywood and fans of Shah Rukh Khan, his latest, MY NAME IS KHAN, has been delayed due to SRK's surgery and other unrelated factors and as per Karan it's just around fifty per cent complete, and will now release in February 2011. So, it's now up to Aamir Khan, with his 3 IDIOTS, Akshay Kumar with KAMBAKKHT ISHQ and Hrithik Roshan with KITES, who are expected to come to the rescue of the beleaguered Bollywood. Though one feels that its Hrithik Roshan's Anurag Basu directed KITES that might cross the 100 crore mark this time around.

Well, exciting days are ahead for Bollywood and cinema lovers, and we have to wait and watch, as to who will emerge the winner this year.
