This Friday's new release, KURBAAN, sees debutant director and former ad filmmaker Rensil D'Silva wielding the megaphone for Karan Johar. There are a few interesting tid-bits about the film that not many must be knowing about, so hang on!
As per Rensil, Karan had the subject of KURBAAN with him for the last 4-5 years and approached many directors; unfortunately they all found the subject quite risky. But Karan had the confidence and believed that the subject had a lot of scope for improvisation as the script had a love story, suspense as well as thrill.
Rensil discloses that the film has shaped up very well and has been handled in a sensitive manner. KURBAAN tackles the subject of terrorism in such a way that there is a clear demarcation between the hardliner and the moderate, and will convince all, without being preachy that it is the sane voice of the moderate than one must listen to!
We have to admit that those are some interesting revelations regarding the idea behind the Saif, Kareena and Vivek starrer KURBAAN, and also about how it unfolded on the celluloid.
