Katrina Kaif would be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan directed DE DANA DAN. On her part, she has time and again stated that she consented to act in the film mainly for him. Doesn't that become disturbing at times because it gives out wrong signals about the heroine's presence in the film?

"No not at all. I know when Katrina says she's doing it for 'me'. It means she respects me enough to say 'Yes' to something without question", Akshay defends his leading lady here, "There aren't any questions around script etc. There isn't any frowning involved. It's a plain and simple talk of 'Yes Akshay, when do you need me?”"

Acknowledging the fact that Katrina is indeed doing the film just for his sake, Akshay says, "Yes, I know about that. DE DANA DAN isn't going to better her career. But yes, it is just good for her to work in different environments. A movie like this is a first for her. She still needs to touch every aspect of her audience and she knows it."

On her part, Katrina is doing well for herself by working across different genres. In 2009 itself, she has been seen in a serious dramatic affair (NEW YORK) and a romantic comedy (AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI). Other than working with Akshay in a special appearance for an action affair (BLUE), she would now be seen getting into a rain dance with him in the upcoming laugh riot (DE DANA DAN).

Winks Akshay, "In any case, the year wouldn't be complete without me chasing after her in one of my movies!"

Releasing tomorrow, DE DANA DAN also stars Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia along with a plethora of Priyadarshan regulars like Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Shakti Kapoor.
