DO KNOT DISTURB and WAKE UP SID
The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has regularly been accused of bias. The recent most example is that of WANTED being given an 'A' certificate, while Aamir Khan's full of appalling and gory violence scenes, GHAJINI, being bestowed with a 'UA' certificate!
However, the censors have done the unthinkable, and for once given a level playing field to the two upcoming Friday releases, Karan Johar's WAKE UP SID and David Dhawan's DO KNOT DISTURB. What we mean by that is both the films have been given a 'UA' censor certificate.
While the Dharma Productions' venture, WAKE UP SID, has a total length of 3720.39 meters in 15 reels with no cuts, Pooja Entertainments' DO KNOT DISTURB has a length of 3427.86 metres in 16 reels, with cuts in sounds (just like WANTED).
Here's wishing for a more sensible censor and all the best to the two upcoming Gandhi Jayanti releases.
