Jacqueline Fernandez, the Sri Lankan beauty who would be making her debut with ALADIN, is keeping her fingers crossed for her BIG day - 30th October. This is the day when she would be seen for the first time on the big screen and she is happy that the project that she chose was something like ALADIN.
"It is just a perfect start for me since it has action, comedy and romance - all rolled into one. When I got to know that Sujoy (Ghosh) was making ALADIN, I was all excited since it has been an amazing legendary love story. There was no way I wasn't giving it a try", says Jacqueline who is all excited about being part of a quintessential romantic tale.
However, was there any game plan in place when she decided to explore Indian shores? Is this the kind of film with which she wanted to begin her film career?
"Honestly, I didn't have a particular role or genre in mind to kick started. I was up for anything, whether a thriller or an action film or a comedy. I wouldn’t have done a horror movie though at the very beginning of my career. That's too terrifying and I rather look good and get into a glamorous avtar than scare people", she laughs.
She admits that once on board for the film, she had to work extra hard since she is not familiar with Indian milieu and setting.
"All of this didn't come naturally to me. I had to work hard on it", admits Jacqueline, "Thankfully, I have a very good trait of being a big observer of things and people around me. I started looking at Indian characters, how girls talked in acting schools and stuff alike. It was difficult but thankfully, I was able to crack it to a good extent before giving my first shot for ALADIN."
