Though these are early days in the career of future super star, Ranbir Raj Kapoor, he is doing it the 'slow and steady' way, unlike some of the other stars who also came from filmy backgrounds and had a thumping start to their career, after being launched under the home banner.
While Ranbir's first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, SAAWARIYA, tanked badly at the box-office, he made amends by pulling his very next venture, Yash Raj Films' BACHNA AE HASEENO to an above average status. His latest release, Ayan Mukherji's WAKE UP SID, released predominantly at the multiplexes, has netted around 15.75 crores (to be validated later), despite a very limited release.
However, Ranbir is not only serious about his acting assignments, but has plans of foraying into direction as well and would like to do so under his home banner, RK Films. He confirms by saying "Oh yes, I do want to make a film under my family's banner." He hastens to add that presently he would like to concentrate on his acting career.
Our best wishes for Ranbir, the actor and Ranbir, the director, may be a few years down the line!
