ACID FACTORY has released to good reviews all over and seeing good appreciation from those who have ventured into theaters to watch this action thriller. However, he is surprised at some of the allegations coming his way, the most disappointing being that the film has followed Sanjay Gupta mode of film making a la KAANTE or MUSAFIR.
"This is really bad, especially because Sanjay allowed me complete control over the film. It is in fact demeaning for Sanjay if such allegations even arise because he is a man of his words. He is someone who would put money on you only if he feels you are worth it", comments Suparn who is happy with good feedback coming his way in his second directorial outing.
"In fact Sanjay was quite categorical in stating that he didn't me to follow his style of film making. He told me that he would be happy only if I refrained from thinking that how would Sanjay feel about a particular shot. This incident happened seven days before the shoot and he has maintained his stance right through the scripting to the principal shooting to the post production", narrates Suparn.
The film maker had made his big screen debut as a director four years back with Fardeen Khan and Koena Mitra starrer EK KHILADI EK HASEENA . The man who has earlier written films like ZAMEEN, QAYAMAT, CHHAL and YEH KYA HO RAHA HAI amongst others, Suparn doesn't have any complaints whatsoever about the making of the film.
He says, "I always had all the resources in place. No one would have allowed me 21 crores to make a film if he wouldn't have believed in me. I have my own visual and narrative style and this is why it is quite demeaning when people point fingers at you".
