The most hyped Diwali release, Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision's BLUE is being spoken about in the media more because of its underwater action, and as a result a section of the trade and the press is speculating that the film (like with most actions films) will be unable to sustain after a big opening. A big budget movie like BLUE has to show strong legs and sustain for almost two weeks in order to emerge a success. So, despite the hype will BLUE, with just action and underwater stunts manage to survive after the bountiful extended 'Diwali' weekend?
With this question in mind, we decided to ask the action director of BLUE, James Bomalik, as to whether the film has the emotional quotient to sustain at the ticket window. The answer that James gave surprised us. He said, "BLUE has a lot of emotions and touching moments. It also has a reference to the British Raj history. In a way, I can say that action is secondary to the story line."
Well, those are quite some revelations (coming from the action director), one has to admit, especially in view of all the action centric promos!
