With ALADIN, Riteish Deshmukh appears all set to have made it into the big league. While he has enjoyed quite a few successful films in his career, this is his first multi crore extravaganza and that too with him in the title role which is coming to screen. Does he feel that he has finally arrived in a major way?
'Really, I am not looking to project myself in a way as you describe. I haven't even given a thought to this entire 'big league' theory. At the end of the day, the film does have Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt and with men like these around, one has to understand that you are always third in the order', says Riteish in a humble tone even though audiences are waiting with a bated breath to see how he has projected the legendary character of 'Aladin' on the big screen.
'But how can I actually go around taking credit with someone like Mr. Bachchan present in the film', questions Riteish, 'A film becomes an Amitabh Bachchan starrer when his name comes in the title roll. Everything else falls on the sidelines. In fact I am honoured that he accepted me as 'Aladin' for this film. It shows that he is so magnanimous.'

He is clear in his mind that if the film succeeds, it is everyone's success and if it doesn't, he is ready to take an equal blame regardless of the cast involved.
'I have done that throughout my career so why should it be any different in future too', says Riteish, 'There have been quite a few successful films that I have been a part of. However, I have neither shouted from rooftops nor had any PR hired to scream on my behalf. I have just lied low. However, whenever there have been brickbats, I have humbly accepted audience's verdict and taken the blame. It's always good to take ownership in case of failure and I have learned this from my most respected seniors in the industry.'
