Eros International Media Private Limited (Eros India) today announced the appointment of Ram Mirchandani as Chief Creative Officer. Ram Mirchandani recently stepped down from UTV Motion Pictures (UTV), where he held the position of Chief Creative Officer.
Welcoming Ram Mirchandani to Eros India, Mr. A.P. Parigi, Group CEO- India said: "We at Eros are indeed delighted to welcome Ram Mirchandani to the leadership team at Eros India. We are in the process of strengthening our leadership team; in line with our corporate growth plans. Ram Mirchandani's expertise in the area of entertainment, particularly filmed entertainment, I believe will be an asset to the Eros brand. Further, Ram's penchant for entrepreneurship in the creative domain is well acknowledged by his peers."
Speaking about his decision, Ram Mirchandani said: "For me this is a step in the right direction and I am proud and very excited to be part of an entertainment corporation that has such a rich heritage."
Ram Mirchandani has held number of key positions in the Media and Entertainment sector. He is acknowledged as one of the key members of the startup team of the Motion Pictures Production venture of UTV.
Ram Mirchandani is credited with having played an influential role in the making of RANG DE BASANTI, METRO and FASHION. Ram Mirchandani spent approximately seven years with UTV.
