LONDON DREAMS is the first film in the entire career of film maker Vipul Shah where he hasn't worked with Akshay Kumar. However, the man with a cent percent hit record says that he took it all positively and enjoyed an altogether different way of functioning with his new actors Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn.
"When you work with people with whom you have never worked before, there are two ways to look at things. Firstly, you do miss your favourite actor and something like that happened with me as well since I have been associated with Akshay for so long. On the other hand, you have to start enjoying the process of working with the new bunch of people. Thankfully, both Salman and Ajay allowed me that comfort level", says Vipul who has managed a casting coup of sorts by bringing the two actors together 11 years after HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM.
In the past, Akshay had worked with Vipul in his debut directorial venture AANKHEN. He went on to do WAQT - RACE AGAINST TIME followed by NAMASTE LONDON. Later when Vipul decided to rope in Anees Bazmee as a director for his next production SINGH IS KINNG, Akshay was by his side. As is a known fact, all these films worked very well at the box office and gave an altogether different identity to the film maker as well as the actor.
"Akshay and me go a very long way", Vipul goes down the memory lane here, "It is absolutely a great rapport that both of us share and it's a treat to work with him. However, I have to admit that since I was working with Salman and Ajay for the first time, I had to be on my toes all the time. That made it further enjoyable experience for me."
