Composer Pritam has been having a busy year so far. And he would continue to be busy till the end of year. Reason being that come November and he would have as many as four of films arriving in quick succession. He is looking at a very much possible scenario of a release a week for the entire month of November.
"No wonder I am having a crazy time getting the final mix in place for all the films that I am working on", sighs Pritam, "On 6th Nov comes Raj Kumar Santoshi's AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI (Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif), 13th Nov would see the release of Mukesh Bhatt's TUM MILE (Emraan Hashmi, Soha Ali Khan), on 20th November there is Vipul Shah's KUCH LOVE JAISA (Rahul Bose, Neetu Chandra, Shefali Shah) while lastly there is Priyadarshan's DE DANA DAN (Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif) on 27th November. This is not all as the music of ALL THE BEST too is round the corner."
Now that's indeed some work load for the man who hasn't breathed since the beginning of the year.
While he has the biggest musical blockbuster of the year to his credit in the form of LOVE AAJ KAL, his soundtrack from NEW YORK too has seen good escalation ever since the release of his film. Response to his recent release DIL BOLE HADIPPA too has been good with the title track aiming for the top spot.
Yes, he also has duds like LIFE PARTNER and LOVE KHICHDI to his credit but that has (thankfully) got compensated due to the success of BILLU and AA DEKHEN ZARA (for which he composed a few songs).
"I should be going slow from 2010 onwards once all my pending releases are through", says Pritam who is looking at cutting down assignments and get selective from here on.
