Arjun Rampal is quite sure that he can't really get intimidated by presence of big stars around him even though they may be seniors in the industry. Reason being that he has worked with the 'living legend' Amitabh Bachchan in as many as three films - AANKHEN, EK AJNABEE and THE LAST LEAR. Post these three movies, he is quite comfortable about getting into a face/off with any other actor.
"Mr. Bachchan is someone I have admired and if you can stand next to him and survive, you can face the world", says Arjun on being asked if he was intimidated by Sunny Deol during the shooting of FOX, "Once you have worked with him, it only becomes easier for you as an actor in your subsequent outings."
Remembering his experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan, he has an interesting story to tell.
"I was quite nervous when I had to share screen space with him in AANKHEN. Thankfully I was playing a blind man in the film and hence I could hide behind my shades. This way I could avoid any direct eye contact with him and go ahead with my act. That movie was actually a learning ground for me to just get used to his voice", he chuckles.
The shackles were further broken in EK AJNABEE where the two shared a love-hate relationship.
"I had admired him over the years and by time I was shooting my second film with him, there was a much better comfort level that I could afford to share with him", he smiles, "Then a few months down the line I got together with Mr. Bachchan again in THE LAST LEAR and during this time period I had managed to come out of my shell. From being an admirer of Mr. Bachchan, I can say that I became great friends with him."
