'When I grow up, I want to be a Don' - These were the exact words of a 8 year old boy whom film maker Ashuu Trikha met in the interiors of UP when he was shooting for his most hard hitting film till date - BAABARR.
Says Ashuu who was completely shocked when he began interacting with one of the onlookers while filming his Soham Shah starrer BAABARR, "I could see this young boy hanging around the location of the shoot. He was keenly watching the proceedings so I struck a conversation with him. I asked him about his family and then just came up with a random question that what did he want to become when he grew up. To my utter disblelief, he replied that he wanted to be a Don."
For Ashuu, what was more shocking was sheer confidence that this 8 year old boy carried in his voice that came with no hint of innocence.
"Normally we do come across kids who have faint idea about their future aspirations. In all their innocence, they allow their imagination to go wild. But the way this boy said it to me while looking straight into my eyes was nothing short of intimidating. I there and then realized that I was on the right track since the milieu of BAABARR is such where a kid could turn into a hardcore criminal at a very young age", adds Ashuu who has earlier made movies like DEEWANAPAN, SHEESHA and ALAG.
This wasn't the end of the story. Soon he found out that this boy was also carrying a knife with him. When he informed the boy's dad (who was also nearby) about it, he was totally nonchalant about it.
"This man just told me that it's fine for his son to carry a knife since its purpose was not to harm anyone but defend yourself. I guess that's the best means of self defense in the region", shrugs Ashuu who is now eagerly awaiting audience reaction to his dramatic action affair which hits the screens today.
