Songs of TUM MILE have been pirated and are available on dozens of illegal music websites. 'So what's new in that', one may ask?
Well, the fact is that this has happened even before the first official CD hit the stands. Worse, it wasn't the case of a single song being leaked; it was an entire music album which was up there for grabs and that too with credit details intact. Frankly, this has turned out to be the biggest ever instance of online piracy ever since Arjun Rampal's entire film MOKSHA was found openly available on VCDs weeks before its release.
However, Bhatts aren't too disturbed about the possible loss that they are staring at with the songs being available for free download. For this, they have three reasons to state:
a) The pirates seemed to be having a huge level of interest in the music of this Emraan Hashmi starrer and hence were searching for opportunity to catch it by hook or by crook.
b) The statistics reveal that in just 72 hours of the music being out, there was an enormous amount of song download that proves yet again that music lovers were waiting with a bated breath to catch hold of the music of TUM MILEY which brings together Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, director Kunal Deshmukh, Emraan Hashmi and Pritam yet again after JANNAT.
c) Reader's comments on popular social networking websites reveal that the music has been enormously liked and is already a HIT even before the first official CD hit the stands.
Says Mahesh Bhatt, ''The first impression was that of shock but slowly it started sinking in that our music was high on demand. Otherwise what really explains an entire album to be leaked? Mischief makers have only added on to the popularity of Pritam's music. Now that the original CDs are officially available on stands, we truly believe that the music will further find its way into audiences' heart''.
