Promos of CHASE are on and so far the emphasis has been on fast moving bikes and an element of 'chase'. Since the lead actor of the film, Anuj Saxena, also happens to be the producer here, where does the leading lady fit actually into the film's narrative? Does Udita Goswami have a role substantial enough to make a good enough impact in this racy entertainer?
"As you can see from my career graph ever since I made my debut in PAAP, I have mostly worked in few films but the ones I have important roles. Some may have worked and some may not have but no one can say that I was working in any random projects. I could have signed up multiple movies where I was just there for song and dance routines but that's not me", says Udita who has always been known for her righteous stand when it comes to professional dealings.
Recently, she was seen in horror thriller ROKKK and while the first half of the film belonged to Tanushree Dutta, the second half was dominated by Udita Goswami.
"That's my criteria for signing up for roles", adds Udita, "I should have something substantial to bring on the table. I was approached for CHASE because the character of the female protagonist is integral to the film's plot rather than being at the peripherals. This is a thriller and since anything divulged in excess could be counter productive for the film, it won't be fair on my part to reveal much about my role or the plot. Having said that, I am sure even after watching CHASE, you won't have any complains from Udita. It is a substantial role with a definite meaning to it and you would realize that after watching the flick."
Directed by Jagmohan Mundhra, CHASE is all set for 30th April 2010 release.
