Kangna Ranaut has come up with a sweet act in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, something which has seen an all around appreciation from audience as well as critics alike. Meanwhile, her co-actors too are pleased to be working with her, especially so since the film has allowed Kangna to move out of her on-screen schizophrenic world where she mostly played a troubled character.
KANGNA RANAUT and R.MADHAVAN
For Madhavan, who has Kangna opposite him in TANU WEDS MANU, it was fun to be doing a film where both of them could afford to let their hair down rather than coming up with an intense performance; something which is expected from the duo film after film.
"There is an amazing synergy and combination between the two of is," says the senior actor who entered the Bollywood scene around a decade back, "Now that we have wrapped up the principal shoot of the film, both of us are quite keen to see how the end product turns up."
Since this directorial outing of Anand Rai has a small town setting to it, TANU WEDS MANU allowed Madhavan and Kangna to come up with a natural act.
"Both Kangna and I come from small places. She hails from Himachal Pradesh while I have been brought up in Jamshedpur. Due to this, we could bring in our experiences and in turn enjoy the shooting process. In the film, we have played with some fine nuances that haven't been seen before on the big screen but are very real and something that you can relate to. I was quite a guy during my growing up hears and TANU WEDS MANU helped in reviving my childhood memories."
