Ex Miss Universe and Bollywood actress, Sushmita Sen, along with actor Vivek Oberoi and Miss Universe runner up Reha, were in the holy city of Vrindavan, the place associated with Lord Krishna on Wednesday, and they were there for a very noble cause. These stars are active members of an NGO, Food For Life, which provides better facilities and opportunities for the underprivileged children. The stars arrived in the religious city of Vrindavan, near Mathura, amidst much security with hordes of fans trying their level best to have a glimpse of their favourite stars. The venue was Sandapini Muni school were the stars freely roamed about and mixed with the children.
SUSHMITA SEN and VIVEK OBEROI
Sushmita (in a blue jeans and white top) moved bare footed and picked up children in her lap and chatted with them for a long time. Vivek on the other hand was his usual jovial self and he was overcome with emotions on hearing the stories of these underprivileged children. Reha too played and talked to them. The children were really very happy to meet the stars.
Later in the evening the stars paid a visit to the famous Thakur Shree Banke Bihariji temple for a darshan of Lord Krishna and stayed in the VIP enclosure for around half an hour where they performed a traditional pooja amidst Vedic chants and prayed for their future and loved ones. The police had a tough time controlling the crowd and after a lot of effort they were able to take the stars to their respective cars.
Certainly Vivek and Sushmita have shown that they have a heart of gold and we are sure that the joy that they have been able to bring to these poor children will translate into something good for their personal lives as well as their career.
