There have been exemplary actor-director 'jodis' in Bollywood that have a cent per cent success record. Quite a few come to mind and notable amongst them are Shah Rukh Khan-Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan-Rakesh Roshan, Govinda-David Dhawan, Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan and Akshay once again with Vipul Shah.
When we take into account the various parameters that are involved in the making of a successful film, there is one very important factor that affects the opening of a film and that is its music. If the music of a film is good, it is bound to take a good opening and then the rest depends on the merit of the film.
VIPUL SHAH and AKSHAY KUMAR
Talking about the last actor-director duo mentioned above, Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah there is no doubt that the three films that they have done together, ANKHEIN, WAQT-RACE AGAINST TIME and NAMASTEY LONDON, all had excellent music with one or more chartbuster.
If ANKHEIN had the hot and sizzling Bipasha Basu along with 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar grooving to "Gustakhiyaan", then WAQT-RACE AGAINST TIME had the hottie Priyanka Chopra and the "Khiladi' once again gyrating to the Anu Malik song that has now become an iconic Holi' number today, "Do Me A Favour Let's Play Holi". As for NAMASTEY LONDON it was indeed Vipul -Akshay's best music album with Himesh Reshammiya at his melodic best and all the songs were priceless gems.
Fast forward to Vipul-Akshay's upcoming 'Diwali' release, ACTION REPLAYY, and it appears that once again like always, it is the music which would prove to be one of the highlights of the film. And we say this because we have news from very reliable sources that the music of the film by Pritam is outstanding and one can surely expect some chart toppers from this album.
Well, we are waiting eagerly for the music album of ACTION REPLAYY to hear some chart scorchers by Pritam and we are sure that he will carry on the good work done by pervious composers like Anu Malik and Himesh Reshammiya.
