Wilson Louis' supernatural horror flick MALLIKA will see the debut of Sheena Nayyar. While most actresses would have liked to begin their careers with a romantic or a hard-hitting film, Sheena has decided to go the other way with a horror film.
"I didn't choose this film. It came into my pocket. If given a choice, I would have gone for a film like JAB WE MET. I will do a romantic film in the future. But since Percept was doing this film which had a great script having me as the central character and it had a director like Wilson Louis, I decided to do it."
Sheena will also be seen wearing a bikini in MALLIKA. Wasn't she apprehensive? "The sequence required me to wear a bikini. It was a beach song. On a beach every girl wears a bikini. So there's nothing bad that I wore one. It's looking quite nice," she says with a smile.
The actress believes that controversies pave the way to fame. "I love controversies. They make you go high. You get publicity and perhaps get new projects because of controversies. You have to draw attention. That's the whole idea," believes Sheena.
Sheena also doesn't mind being tagged as a 'sex symbol'. "Being sexy is part of Bollywood. You can't be those 'homely' and 'Indian Indian' types. You have to have that kind of attraction in yourself. You got to be a mass heroine. Your acting ability and the way you look are both important," said the actress on a concluding note.
