Vishal-Shekhar, Ranbir Kapoor and Siddharth Anand were a part of the team that boasts of chartbuster tracks like ,Khuda Jaane and Ahista Ahista in BACHNA AE HASEENO which released two years ago. Circa 2010 and they have come together yet again for ANJAANA ANJAANI, the music of which is now out on stands and comes with huge expectations.
One wonders though if he also carried the pressure of delivering yet another Khuda Jaane in ANJAANA ANJAANI, especially because it stays on to be one of the most melodious romantic numbers that Ranbir boasts of in his short career so far?
"I don't think that any of us had Khuda Jaane in our mind at all," Siddharth negates the theory here, "An album has to have its own calling and this time around, the ace up our sleeves is the title track of ANJAANA ANJAANI which is romantic melody. I am sure even Ranbir and Priyanka would agree that the song is definitely on par with the class and quality that Khuda Jaane carried. Both my lead actors love that song as it is in the romantic space that audience that would love to see them in. To add to that, we already have another title track of ANJAANA ANJAANI playing as well which is a dance number."
Naturally, producer Sajid Nadiadwala is happy that he has two versions to play around for his film's promotion.
"Normally you look forward to one hit title track," he says, "On the contrary in my film, the team has given me two altogether versions - one a dance number and another, which is a soulful melody - to play around. I couldn't have asked for more. We didn't want to have one original song and it's remix qualifying as a dance number. We wanted something out of the box for ANJAANA ANJAANI and fortunately, Vishal, Shekhar and Siddharth have given me just that."
