HELLO DARLING is up for release and though the fact is that the film carries a theme of sexual harassment at workplace, many in the outside world are also perceiving the film to be a sex comedy. What does Gul Panag have to say in that regard?
"Please don't enter theaters expecting another KYA KOOL HAIN HUM," laughs Gul, "This film by no means is an out and out sex comedy. There could be sexual innuendos here or there that do make the protagonists feel uncomfortable. But there isn't anything on your face, whether visually or verbally."
Commenting on the theme itself being quite provocative, Gul says, "I don't know how people can get enticed in such a manner with just the plotline and word 'sex'. The focus here is on sexual harassment which happens inside the room, not something which is done openly."
"This is not an issue which is something new and actually happens in most professions," sighs Gul, "It has been around for ages. In fact as long as women are out there in open, there is always a chance of them getting harassed. It is a reality and we can't escape that."
Starring Javed Jaffrey in the role of a pervert boss who is taught a lesson by the trio of Gul, Celina and Eesha, HELLO DARLING also features Chunky Pandey and Divya Dutta in important roles and releases all over on 27th August.
