Call it a unique combination that would lead quite a few eye brows to be raised. However, this is all set to happen with Kareena Kapoor and Chitrangda Singh coming together to share screen space in film maker Sudhir Mishra's next film DHRUV.
"Yes, both Kareena as well as Chitrangda would be there on the film," confirms Mishra who has worked with both the actresses earlier and seen maximum acclaim coming his way post his association with them. While CHAMELI stays on to be one of the landmark films of Kareena's career, HAZARON KHWAISHEIN AISI saw some instant attention coming the way of Chitrangda.
Talking about his choice of actors for the film, Mishra says, "There are certain roles that work for certain characters. This is the reason why Kareena became 'Chameli' and Chitrangda turned 'Geeta' (in HAZARON...). I wanted to have the best of both worlds for DHRUV and I should get that as well."
However, as of now concrete plans are yet to be base lined for DHRUV which would be made with Excel Entertainment (of Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar). Also, while Shiney Ahuja was earlier the central protagonist in AUR DEVDAS, the man at the hot seat in DHRUV would be Farhan himself.
"That's right. The plans would be put together for DHRUV only once Farhan wraps up his DON sequel with Shah Rukh Khan. We would then be getting into talks and finalising the entire schedule, cast and other details. However, as of now I see the film being made with Kareena and Chitrangda," he signs off.
Well, that would be one Chandramukhi and Paro to look forward to, albeit in an altogether different avatar.
