Over the last few months, quite a few romcoms have hit the screen though they have all met with diverse results. I HATE LUV STORYS was the most successful of all, ANJAANA ANJAANI proved to be an average affair, AISHA came and went while BREAK KE BAAD struggled to find an audience. However, when it comes to the next romcom that Bollywood has to offer, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, its leading Anushka Sharma promises that it would indeed be a wholesome affair.
"You will see that very emotion is quite well packed in BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, says Anushka for whom this is her third film with Yash Raj banner after her debut effort RAB NE BANA DI JODI and more recently BADMAASH COMPANY, "The scenes are pretty light and even serious moments are conveyed in an lighter tone. We are not trying to make people cry at any moment. The film stays on to be sweet throughout and you would come out with a smile on your face."
However, off late, number of romcoms have claimed so but results haven't been as satisfactory.
"Rest assured, our film has everything that you can expect in a romcom", Anushka interrupts immediately, "The story telling is so wonderful that nothing is on your face at all. Still, you will stay connected to the characters instead of feeling isolated from them. I guess the biggest issue in some films is when audience gets isolated from the characters. We have avoided that from happening here."
BAND BAAJA BAARAAT releases all over on 10th December 2010.
