DUSU plans Shatrughan Sinha film fest

In its zest to honour all its famous alumni from the film fraternity, the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU)'s Film Society has decided to organise film festivals on a regular basis. Sonakshi Sinha will inaugurate the film festival, while Sinha will light the lamp to announce the opening of the Film Society.

Averred, DUSU ex-presidential advisor Basant Jha, 'The first ceremony of our society will be a Film Festival, where we will honour one particular Bollywood celeb each time, along with screening films etc.'

It is interesting to note that just a week ago, the DUSU presented a letter to the vice chancellor and he approved the society's programme.

The first festival, tentatively named Shatrughan Sinha Film Festival, will take place towards the end of this month, around 22 December. The society is also planning a lot of other activities like choreography, scriptwriting, film-related skills, 'so that students can polish their skills'.
