This Friday is all set to see multiple releases in the form of Wilson Louis's KAALO, the Archangel Entertainer project PAYBACK, the Vinay Shukla directed MIRCH and last but not the least K Sera Sera and Sangeeth Sivan Productions' 332...MUMBAI TO INDIA. Unfortunately, none of the mentioned releases are expected to achieve anything significant at the ticket window and the audience is likely to prefer last Friday's NO PROBLEM and BAND BAAJA BAARAAT.
MIRCH and KAALO
The openings of both the new releases of last Friday, Yash Raj Films' BAND BAAJA BAARAAT and Anees Bazmee's multistarrer NO PROBLEM left a lot to be desired as it varied from weak to dull. Comparatively speaking NO PROBLEM fared much better than BBB, especially in the Hindi belt. There was a noticeable pick up for both the films during the weekend but the jump was more pronounced for BAND BAAJA BAARAAT. Trade expects that in the final outcome the low budget BAND BAAJA BAARAAT will see a better outcome. In the Overseas, once again the performance of both was below par but NO PROBLEM was the clear winner grossing £114,652 from UK and $242,116 from US while BAND BAAJA BAARAAT grossed £23,874 from UK, during the opening weekend (10-12 December).
