Shruti Haasan would be seeing a re-launch of sorts with DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI, a film that sees her being paired opposite Emraan Hashmi for the first time. Though she did run out of luck in Imran Khan starrer LUCK where she hardly had any opportunity to perform, there is a new platform that she is getting in this Madhur Bhandarkar directed affair. No wonder, Emraan is impressed with the manner in which Shruti has well utilized this platform.
"I have worked in 20 odd films while for Shruti, DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI is just her second Hindi film. There were so many memories that came alive again when I was shooting with her. They only made me nostalgic", says Emraan for whom Shruti is yet another new leading lady, something that has been a trend with him in most of his outings.
Since he has been launching (or re-launching) quite a few new girls in the industry, doesn't he ever get distracted by the rough edges that they carry? Especially in a film like this which is a romcom and requires them to perform well in unison so that a scene turns out to be perfectly well, didn't Emraan ever feel challenged due to Shruti's relative lack of experience?
Says Emraan after a pause, "See, getting distracted or rather impressed by these rough edges is something that totally depends upon the way you perceive them. Honestly speaking, I would give anything for those rough edges to stay on. They allow so much spontaneity and texture to your act."
