Have you ever wondered that how far would you go for love? If you haven't given it a thought so far then have your answer ready because Shah Rukh Khan would soon be asking this question across the country. This would be done as a part of promotional campaign for MY NAME IS KHAN which is all set to pick huge steam with only a fortnight to go for the film's release.

'Yes, there is this huge campaign that has been designed around the strong essence of love that MY NAME IS KHAN carries. As a part of this, Shah Rukh would be travelling across the country and pop this question to the 'aam junta'. This would be his way of connecting with people who are waiting to catch him in MY NAME IS KHAN', confirms Karan Johar who has produced and directed the film.

Establishing a connection with the people is fast turning out to be a trend amongst the Bollywood biggies, especially during last few years. Way back in 2006, it was Shah Rukh himself who had pioneered this trend when it came to the promotion of DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN. In recent times, while Aamir Khan has pulled all stops when it comes to meeting people (case in point being GHAJINI and 3 IDIOTS), even a normally reluctant Salman Khan was seen stepping out for VEER. In the interim period, Abhishek Bachchan too went out for multiple city tours when it came to promoting DELHI 6.

With Shah Rukh returning with full vigour for his much hyped MY NAME IS KHAN, one can expect some fireworks on display till the film's arrival in theaters. 'This is going to be a pan India initiative and won't be restricted to metros or cosmopolitan cities', continues Karan, 'In addition, there would be a lot of others things happening to facilitate the film's promotion.'

Meanwhile, there would be a step up in the film's satellite and online promotion as well. 'Of course, there would also be vanilla promotion via means of interviews, brand endorsements etc. However, the idea around asking people that 'How far would you go for love?' should be quite enticing for many out there. It should be a good participative exercise', says Karan.
