SAIF ALI KHAN
Saif Ali Khan has been conferred a Padma Shri and after a round of celebrations, it is back to business as usual. After LOVE AAJ KAL, he is all set to embark on his next production AGENT VINOD. One wonders though that what really is the current status of the film given the fact that quite a lot has been heard and written about AGENT VINOD over last so many months. When does director Sriram Raghavan bring this spy thriller on floors?
Smiles Saif, 'Yes, I know a lot has been said about it but we are very much on track. Final touches are being given to the script and at the end of March; we should have the film on floors.'
What happens to RACE 2 in the interim? Even though this sequel to RACE is much awaited, there just doesn't seem to be any progress around the casting confirmation for this Abbas Mustan thriller. 'I definitely want to work on RACE 2. Let's see how it goes; at this moment I can't comment on it much. On the other hand I also want to do a romantic comedy. This is something that stands high up in my list but then I am just waiting for a great script to come my way', Saif makes his intention clear.
Meanwhile on a personal level, Saif is thrilled that his lady love Kareena now holds the distinction of being the leading lady in the biggest ever blockbuster to have come out of India. 3 IDIOTS is about to complete a 50 days at the box office, is still going super strong and is en route to be a 200 crore affair just from India. 'Kareena is such a deserving actress and I am very happy for her success. Both of us are very happy for each other and it has been a wonderful feeling in the house for all these months. We continue to be mighty upbeat', concludes Saif.
