The ongoing controversy has hit hard the release of much touted film MY NAME IS KHAN.

As per the latest buzz, now Cinema halls in Mumbai have closed down advance bookings for Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming flick, fearing attacks by Shiv Sena activists before and during the screening of the movie, which releases on Friday.

Apparently Shiv Sena activists attacked several theatres on Tuesday that were supposed to screen the film. Following the violent protests by activists, Several Multiplex chains withdrew their advance bookings for the film, as did single screen theatres.

The Shiv Sena activists have been protesting the release of the movie, since Shahrukh supported the inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
