Years back when the WATERGATE scandal of US was exposed, the entire world was left stunned. No one saw it coming and the entire 'behind-the-scenes' happenings and lack of transparency sent shock waves across the globe. Closer home, though Jessica Lal murder case doesn't have any global connotation, it is critical in its own small way as the trial was not just a transparent exercise but also announced loud and clear that if people decide to come together for a cause, justice prevails.

CHECK OUT: I am not afraid of doing Jessica Lal film

This is why despite the sensitivity of the issue, its leading lady Vidya Balan isn't worried about any external pressures that may come in the way of the film's release. "I donít think so because everything is transparent out here. All I know is that this is not akin to Watergate scandal of President Nixon where there was no transparency whatsoever and hence there was a fear or someone or something being exposed. In any case, one can't pre-empt everything in advance", says Vidya who enacts the role of Sabrina Lal (Jessica's sister) in the film.

NO ONE KILLED JESSICA would be one of the rare opportunities for an actor to be enacting the role of a real life person who stays on to be quite fresh in public's mind, courtesy screaming headlines that have dominated newspapers, news channels and web media for last few years.

Meanwhile Vidya is all excited about ISHQIYA which is her first release of 2010 and arrives this Friday. "When I heard the script of ISHQIYA from writer and director Abhishek Chaubhey, I was really bowled over. Still, I gave myself some time before eventually saying yes because I wanted the right kind of vibes to be built", she still remembers fondly about the film and the people she worked with.
